Directions to St. Michael’s from Tucson
o From Cortaro Road and I-10, head “west” on I-10 (that’s how the freeway is
marked, but you’re actually heading northwest, toward Phoenix);
o 51 miles later, you’ll get off at Exit 194, which is also Arizona Highway 287, and
Florence Boulevard, the main drag through Casa Grande; this should take about 40
minutes or so at freeway speed (note: there are 4 Casa Grande exits; while you can get
to church using any of the 4, this is the one I recommend);
o At the top of the freeway off-ramp, you’ll turn left onto Hwy 287/Florence
Boulevard;
o You’re now heading west into Casa Grande; you’ll go through lighted
intersections at the freeway off-ramp itself, then through the intersections of Florence
Boulevard and Henness, Casa Grande Regional Medical Center, Arizola, Peart,
Colorado, and Pueblo; when you get to the intersection of Florence Boulevard and
Trekell Road, turn right onto Trekell (this will be about 3 miles from the freeway); you’
re now going north on Trekell;
o Go past a light at McMurray, and through a light at Trekell and Cottonwood
(there’s a Safeway on the northwest corner of this intersection);
o Go about another three-tenths of a mile, and turn left on Palm Parke Boulevard,
just past First American Title/Realty Executives;
o You’re now heading west on Palm Parke Boulevard; go a few blocks to the
corner of Palm Parke and Morrison; you’ll see St. Michael’s on the southwest corner
of this intersection, catty-corner from the park.
o Your total drive time should be about 50 minutes from Cortaro and I-10, and it’s
about 56 miles from there.
Mass starts at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. I live about 6 minutes from Cortaro and I-10, so I
plan an hour drive time from my house to church. Again, if you add how long it takes
you to get from your house to I-10 and Cortaro, you’ll be able to plan what time to
leave home to get to church by 9:30 in the morning. You might plan to carpool with
some other folks from Our Lady of Peace and Hope, too!
